A | 이란 TV, 트럼프 막내 아들 암살 위협 아바스 아라그치 이란 외무장관(오른쪽)과 바드르 알부사이디 오만 외무장관. 로이터연합뉴스 이란과 오만이 호르무즈 해협 공동 임시항로 개설과 기뢰 제거 등에 합의하고 향후 기술적 협의를 이어가기로 했다. 이란은 해협이 완전히 개방되려면 미국이 양해각서(MOU) 의무를 이행해야 한다고 밝혔다. 오만 외교부는 25일(현지시간) 바드르 알부사이디 외무장관이 이란을 방문해 아바스 아라그치 이란 외무장관과 호르무즈 해협에 대한 건설적 협의를 했다고 밝혔다. 이들은 공동 임시항로 개설과 기뢰 제거 프로젝트 진행 등에 합의했다. 오만 외교부는 “이후 기술적 협상은 영구적 항행 통로와 향후 관리 방안, 정보 공유·선박 통행 관리 등에 합의하기 위해 계속될 것”이라고 밝혔다. 알부사이디 오만 외무장관은 엑스에 “해협의 향후 관리 및 영구적 해결책은 적절한 시기에 마련될 것”이라고 덧붙였다. 다만 양국 간 합의가 호르무즈 해협 개방을 의미하는 건 아니다. 카젬 가리바바디 이란 외무차관은 이란 국영 IRIB방송과의 인터뷰에서 “해협이 완전히 개방되려면 미국이 종전 MOU 의무를 이행해야 한다”고 밝혔다. 같은 날 러시아 관영 리아노보스티 통신이 이란과 파키스탄의 소식통을 인용해 “워싱턴과 테헤란이 휴전에 합의했다”며 “여기에는 호르무즈 해협에서의 자유로운 항해가 포함된다”고 보도하기도 했다. 한편 미국 비밀경호국(SS)은 도널드 트럼프 대통령의 막내아들 배런을 겨냥한 이란 측의 암살 위협을 확인하고 조사에 나섰다. CNN은 지난 주말 이란 IRIB방송이 방영한 “배런 트럼프를 어디서 죽일까”라는 내용의 영상을 SS가 확인하고 조사에 착수했다고 전했다. 그간 영부인 멜라니아 여사 등에 대한 위협은 있었지만 트럼프 대통령과 멜라니아 여사 사이에 태어난 배런에 대한 위협은 이번이 처음이다.。 TORONTO -- Canadian autoworkers have voted to ratify a three-year contract agreement with General Motors.Members of Unifor, the union representing about 4,300 Canadian workers at three Ontario GM facilities, voted 80.5% in favor of the deal, the union said Sunday in a statement.The vote followed the pattern of an agreement reached earlier with Ford, and it leaves only Jeep maker Stellantis without a contract. Talks have yet to start with Stellantis, which has the largest Canadian manufacturing footprint of Detroit's three automakers. The GM agreement came after a brief strike last week by the workers at GM factories in Oshawa and St. Catharines, Ontario, and a parts warehouse in Woodstock, Ontario.GM says in a statement that the deal recognizes worker contributions while positioning the company to be competitive in the future.Unifor said that the deal includes pay raises of nearly 20% for production workers and 25% for skilled trades. Workers would get 10% in general pay raises in the first year, with 2% in the second and 3% in the third. The company also agreed to restore cost-of-living pay raises starting in December of 2024. Temporary workers would get pay raises, and those with at least one year of service would get permanent jobs.Workers who get defined-contribution retirement plans will move to a new defined-benefits pension on Jan. 1, 2025.Unifor is Canada’s largest in the private sector union, with 315,000 workers in many industries. In the United States, strikes continue by the United Auto Workers union with nearly 34,000 workers off their jobs at all three Detroit companies.。
